ATG is my Tribe

    Who am I?

My name is Stefan. I am a man who thrives when life challenges me. Throughout the majority of my footballing career, I was dealt with some significant injuries & surgeries, enduring 3 ACL reconstructions, multiple meniscus & cartilage tears as well as a workplace accident that saw me slice through my MCL in my knee - also requiring surgery.

I spent over 10 years of my life finding ways to overcome similar challenges but continued to injure my knees - ultimately leading me to retire at age 28 but managed to play a majority of that final season with no ACL in my right knee. While on this path, I completed a Certificate 3 & 4 in Personal Training & learned a lot about my physical, mental & emotional resilience. I now coach people of all ages but really enjoy coaching youth athletes in particular. I believe I have a lot to offer the youth of today to help them avoid what I had to endure or to help guide them if they are walking - or hobbling - through a similar path to mine. I have also completed my ATG (Athletic Truth Group) Level 1 & am excited to complete Level 2 & 3.

    Why ATG?

My love for ATG first became apparent when I was looking for ways to make a come back to football after I had surgery to take out my ruptured ACL graft in 2020 (there were some complications so the surgeon was unable to replace the graft - it was a miracle in the end). I came across Ben Patrick & the @kneesovertoesguy Instagram page where I began to follow him religiously. I spent months following Ben, from the Joe Rogan podcast to YouTube videos with Mr1nf1n1ty & Keegan Smith (@atgmentor). I spent months waiting to join ATG for Coaches but after a year & a half of pondering, I took the plunge & haven't looked back since.

ATG has changed my life. It has offered me a completely different perspective not only on how I train myself & others, but on how I live my life. ATG has opened my eyes to so much more & has helped me realize that community is the most important factor of ATG. The people in ATG & the people I have met thanks to ATG are incredible. They are driven, dedicated & have the desire to DO & BE better. They keep me accountable & this has allowed me to grow massively since the beginning of 2022.

ATG has offered me opportunities I have never had before. I have built connections with people, which I will cherish for the rest of my life. Through ATG, I began working closely with Keegan Smith & Uncommon Success. This has been revolutionary for me & my own personal growth. I wouldn't have had this opportunity if it wasn't for ATG.
